Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his crucifixion observed as Good Friday. Easter also represents the end of Lent, the 40-day period preceding it. Easter is celebrated through church services, family gatherings, the decoration of Easter eggs, egg hunts, and a visit from the Easter bunny.
