Sarah’s Story

“I think Greek life is important to Georgia Tech because it creates such a sense of community. When I first came to Georgia Tech, I didn’t know a single person. Coming in and being immediately accepted into a group really boosted my confidence and gave me a way to connect with people. My research is actually being presented at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research this semester and when I got accepted to present I felt so much support. As soon as everyone found out, they announced it at chapter and everyone was super excited for me. It was great to have that much support and everyone was coming up and congratulating me--it was really sweet. I’m graduating soon and I’m really going to miss the sense of community and familiarity that Greek life gives you. Always knowing that someone will have my back is such an incredible feeling.”
